Abetone is the largest and most famous ski resort in Central Italy, nestled in the Tuscan Apennines. Spanning across four interconnected valleys, it delivers surprising variety for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. 🏔️ Altitude & Terrain
The slopes range from 1,200 meters at base level up to 1,950 meters at the summit of Monte Gomito. While there is no glacier, extensive snowmaking coverage ensures solid snow conditions throughout the winter, with a season typically running from December through early April. Clear days at the summit reward visitors with sweeping views reaching as far as the Tyrrhenian coast and Corsica.

The resort's legendary runs are the 'Zeno 1, 2, and 3' pistes, created by local World Champion and Olympic legend Zeno Colò. These slopes wind dynamically through dense beech forests. Other highlights include the technical Stucchi run and the challenging Stadio Slalom slope near the Ovovia gondola.

📍 Getting there
Abetone is located approximately 80 km northwest of Florence. The nearest international airports are Florence Airport (FLR) and Pisa Airport (PSA), both within a 90-minute drive. The resort is easily accessed via the SS12 mountain road from the city of Pistoia.
